Ned Dane, CAIA, Head of Private Client Group, Oppenheimer Funds
Ned Dane is Senior Vice President and head of OppenheimerFunds’ Private Client Group. He joined the firm in 2014 and is leading the effort to expand and strengthen the channel’s industry presence in the private bank, single family office, and bank trust channels. Previously, he was head of Ultra High Net Worth Client Solutions at Merrill Lynch, and also held senior leadership positions within the firm’s Global Wealth and Retirement Solutions businesses. Mr. Dane was President of AXA Advisors LLC and served in leadership roles in both retail and institutional distribution at Putnam Investments. He is involved in several cultural, philanthropic and educational institutions, including The Frick Pittsburgh, where he serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees; and the Helen C. Frick Foundation and the University of New Hampshire Foundation, where he is a board member. Mr. Dane has a B.A. in English from the University of New Hampshire and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder, a Chartered Retirement Plan CounselorSM (CRPC®), and holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses.
Mary Owen, Principal and Senior Advisor, Owens Estate and Wealth
Mary Owen is an accomplished business leader and strategic planning professional, who—in addition to her role as a Life Trustee with the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation—has held a number of leadership-level positions with the NFL and the Buffalo Bills. Such positions include appointments to the league’s Super Bowl Advisory Committee, International Committee and the NFL Foundation Board, as well as active involvement with the National Advisory Board for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. During her executive tenure with the NFL, Ms. Owen also helped lead and oversee community relations initiatives for the Buffalo Bills and is a former president of the team’s Youth Foundation. Ms. Owen is a graduate of the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and is an active Trustee for the Jefferson Trust and longstanding Regional Selection Chair for the Jefferson Scholars Foundation. She also holds an MBA from Walsh College.
Brie Williams, Head of Practice Management, State Street Global Advisors SPDR
Brie Williams is a Vice President of State Street Global Advisors and Head of Practice Management for the Global SPDR Business. She manages a team dedicated to the evolving needs of wealth management firms and financial advisors; developing business-specific insights to facilitate growth and efficiency beyond asset management. Prior to joining SSGA, Ms. Williams was a Senior Vice President at Putnam Investments where she was responsible for brand strategy and retail mutual fund product marketing. She was a member of the senior global marketing team and served as a strategic partner to global distribution divisions, including investment product and portfolio management teams. Her professional background includes a career in advertising and research, where she managed accounts in the retail, packaged goods and health care industries for valued brands that we all know and love, including Frito-Lay, McDonald's, and Target. She holds the FINRA series 7 and 63 licenses. Ms. Williams received her MA in Global Marketing Communications from Emerson College, and has a BA in Journalism from Southern Methodist University.
Baie Netzer, CFA, CFP, Regional Investment Manager San Francisco Region, Wells Fargo Private Bank
Baie Netzer is a regional investment manager for Wells Fargo Private Bank, and works in the company’s headquarters of San Francisco, California. She leads a team of investment professionals who deliver comprehensive, custom, and diversified portfolio management for high-net-worth clients, helping them meet their investment objectives in the context of their overall wealth plan. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Ms. Netzer worked at HighMark Capital Management, the asset management division of Union Bank. There she was Director of Manager Research, chair of the Alternative Investments Committee and one of five voting members on the Asset Allocation Committee. Before joining HighMark in 2010, Ms. Netzer served as a senior research analyst and portfolio manager at Litman/Gregory where she co-managed approximately $2 billion in pooled portfolios for turnkey asset management platforms.She has been in the financial services industry for nearly 20 years, having begun her career as a financial analyst at Goldman Sachs in New York. Ms. Netzer earned her BA in International Relations with Honors from Stanford University. She holds both the CFA® and Certified Financial Planner designations. She currently serves as President of the board of directors for CFA Society San Francisco and serves on the advisory board for the UC Berkeley Extension Personal Financial Planning Certificate Program. Ms. Netzer has also volunteered with CFA Society San Francisco's Women’s Initiative and Mentoring Program.
