Matt Carvalho, CFA, CPA, Chief Investment Officer; Cardinal Point
Matt Carvalho is the Chief Investment Officer at Cardinal Point where he oversees the firm’s investment management process, philosophy, people and strategies for our U.S. and Canadian based clients. He has worked in the financial services industry for over 15 years serving both individual and institutional investors. Prior to joining Cardinal Point, Mr. Carvalho was Vice President, Portfolio Strategy for a California-based turnkey asset management provider (TAMP) firm with over $17 billion under management. While there, he was a member of a six person investment committee that included Nobel Prize (Economics) winner Dr. Harry Markowitz and Dr. Meir Statman, expert on behavioral finance. Previous roles included management of institutional size fixed income trades and monitoring for a bank as well as active trader and retirement planning support for a brokerage firm. Socially Responsible and Sustainability investing mandates are additional areas of experience. He has actively participated in conference speaking engagements and writing with an educational focus for investors. Mr. Carvalho received his BS from University of the Pacific in 2003, obtained his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2007, and his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation in 2012.
Andrew Fisher, CFA, CPA, President & Founder, Worldview Wealth Advisors
Andrew is the president and founder of Worldview Wealth Advisors, an independent wealth management firm advising globally oriented families—both Americans living abroad and foreign citizens living in the U.S. In addition to leading the investment team, Mr. Fisher serves as senior client advisor. In this role, he assists families with their complex, multinational affairs, seeking to optimize wealth, which is often located in multiple countries. He is widely regarded as a leading wealth advisor to cross-border families. Mr. Fisher frequently writes and speaks to the unique financial planning and investment complexities faced by international families, particularly when an individual is a citizen or tax resident of the United States. He is also the author of The Cross-Border Family Wealth Guide, a personal financial planning book for internationally oriented families, published by Wiley in 2017.
Tom Zachystal, CFA, CFP, President & CIO, IAM
Tom Zachystal is the founder, President, and Chief Investment Officer of IAM. Prior to starting IAM, spent five years as an international business consultant and seven years as an engineer for oil services firm Schlumberger. During this time, he worked in a dozen countries on four continents and it is his combination of international experience and investment knowledge that allows IAM to offer tailored financial solutions to expatriates and non-US investors as well as to American residents and citizens.
Charlotte Wall, CPA, Spott, Lucey & Wall, Inc.
Charlotte is a shareholder of the firm Spott, Lucey, & Wall, Inc. She is in charge of the Firm’s real estate clients (landlords, developers, brokers, etc). In addition, she works with many multi-state consulting and technology companies. The firms clients are from about 25 different countries –predominately Germany, England, Australia, China, and Canada. Currently Ms. Wall is serving as an CALCPA representative to the AICPA Council. She is also a member of the Financial Women’s of San Francisco (FWSF), Swedish, British and German American Chamber of Commerce. She earned her BS in Business Administration from California State University, Hayward and her MA in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
