Jonathan Lemco, PhD, Principal & Senior Investment Strategist, Vanguard

Jonathan Lemco, Ph.D., is a principal and senior investment strategist in the Investment Strategy Group at Vanguard. He is the editor of Vanguard’s Global Macro Matters quarterly publication, and the lead author of the Megatrends Project. Previously, his role included the evaluation of sovereign risk in developed and emerging markets in the Fixed Income Group, and he was head of the sovereign research effort at Credit Suisse. He also served for five years as director of the National Policy Association, providing public policy forums and publications related to the NAFTA region, and for four years as a professor at The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, teaching courses in sovereign risk, public policy, and North American economic and political issues. Dr. Lemco has written or edited eleven books and many articles on sovereign risk, comparative public policy, and international economics. A native of Montreal, Canada, he earned a BA at Clark University and an MA and PhD in political science at the University of Rochester.


Jennifer Tabak, CFA, Managing Director, J.P. Morgan Asset Management

Jennifer Tabak, managing director, is a member of the Global Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities (GFICC) group and a senior portfolio manager for the Tax Aware Strategies team and head of the municipal credit research team. She is a member of the JPMorgan Asset Management’s Sustainable Investment Leadership Team and led the process to integrate ESG factors into the tax-exempt portfolio management process. Ms. Tabak is the senior portfolio manager for the Municipal Income Fund, which focuses on investing a majority of its assets in securities whose use of process provide positive social and environmental benefits. An employee since 1991, Ms. Tabak was previously a fixed income research analyst, providing credit research for a variety of municipal and corporate bond sectors. She graduated summa cum laude with distinction from The Ohio State University with a BS in business administration and is a Certified Public Accountant (non-practicing). Ms. Tabak is also a CFA charterholder.


Bonnie M. Wongtrakool, CFA, Global Head of ESG Investments, Western Asset Management Company

Bonnie M. Wongtrakool is Global Head of ESG Investments and has been with Western Asset since 2003. Formerly, Ms. Wongtrakool was an Associate at Mercer Management Consulting, Lehman Brothers, Dewey Ballantine LLP and Orion Partners, LP. She was also an Analyst at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corp. Ms. Wongtrakool graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College and graduated cum laude with a JD from Harvard Law School. She also holds the CFA designation.



Satish Swamy, CFA, Managing Director, Board of Regents, University of California, Office of the Chief Investment Officer

Satish Swamy has been with the Office of the CIO at the University of California since 1998 and is on the leadership team helping manage $120 billion in UC assets. Mr. Swamy has had 20+ years of investment industry experience including positions with Reuters, Lincoln Financial Group, and Analytic Investors. He was on the board of the CFA society from 2004-2012 and served as president in 2010-2011. Mr. Swamy received his BE in Electronics Engineering from Bangalore University, an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Houston, and an MBA in Finance from University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business.
