Kaushal Amin, CFA; Director, Private Equity Investing; Ascent Private Capital Management
Kaushal Amin heads the private capital investment program for US Bank and provides strategic and tactical leadership; he also leads research and due diligence on private capital investments for Ascent Private Capital Management – Multi-Family Office business of US Bank. Prior to joining Ascent in 2016, he was a senior member of the investment team at Fort Washington Capital Partners, where he led private equity investments across primary, secondary and direct opportunities and participated in fund raising activities. Prior to Fort Washington, Mr. Amin led strategy and corporate development initiatives at Western & Southern Financial Group, a Fortune 500 diversified financial services company. Before attending business school, He was a principal with Fidelity Investment’s strategic investments and technology strategy group. Mr. Amin earned his MBA from Duke University with a concentration in finance and strategy. In addition, he holds an MS in computer engineering from Northeastern University and a BS in electrical and computer engineering from Mumbai University. He holds the CFA designation.
Sean Engel; Vice President; Top Tier Capital Partners
Sean Engel is a Vice President at TTCP and has over eight years of venture capital investing experience across limited partner fund investing, secondaries and co-investments. He focuses on the firm’s co-investment and secondary investment activity and is a voting member of the investment team. Currently, he represents Top Tier on four limited partner advisory boards and is a board observer for two TTCP co-investments. Mr. Engel joined Top Tier’s predecessor firm Paul Capital in 2010 as a member of the inaugural analyst program. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley with a BA in political science. Currently, Mr. Engel sits on the board of the Friends of Cal Crew.
Inigo Garcia Gordobil; Senior Investment Director of Private Equity & Venture Capital; Cambridge Associates
Iñigo Garcia Gordobil is a Senior Investment Director at Cambridge Associates based in the firm’s San Francisco office. He is a member of the global private investment research practice, responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and monitoring investment opportunities in venture capital, growth equity, and private equity across North America and Latin America. Mr. Gordobil has also been leading the firm’s Latin American private equity and venture capital investment activities since 2016. He started his career as an Investment Associate in Cambridge Associates’ London office, where he focused on European private equity and venture capital. He graduated with a BA in International Banking & Finance and International Management from Franklin University Switzerland.
Courtney McCrea; Managing Director; Weathergage Capital
Courtney Russell McCrea is a Managing Director of Weathergage Capital and enjoys over 28 years of venture capital and private equity investment experience. Founded in 2006, Weathergage is a boutique fund of funds that provides its clients with access to premier growth, venture capital and micro-VC partnerships. Prior to Weathergage, Ms. McCrea was a General Partner with Weston Presidio, a leading diversified private equity firm based in San Francisco. After 7 years at Weston Presidio, she left in 2004 and founded Silver Partners, a private equity advisory firm where she evaluated secondary and co-investment opportunities and advised consumer growth businesses. In 1997, she was awarded a fellowship in the Kauffman Fellows Program, a global apprenticeship program designed to train the next generations of venture capitalists. Ms. McCrea has an MBA, with honors, from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a BA in Economics from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. She is a member of the Kauffman Fellows Class III.
Timothy Cunningham, President, Touchstone Group, LLC
Timothy Cunningham is President of Touchstone Group, LLC, a firm that raises institutional capital for illiquid alternative investment managers employing private equity and venture capital strategies. Mr. Cunningham co-founded Touchstone in 2002. Touchstone’s principals have helped raise billions of dollars from pension funds, endowments, foundations, funds of funds, insurance companies, wealth managers, banks, and family offices. Previously, Mr. Cunningham co-founded an investment management firm that developed the first life-cycle mutual funds and advised pension fund trustees on asset-liability and governance issues. Following graduate school, he spent seven years working for Bucyrus International, ultimately as General Manager of their Santiago, Chile subsidiary. He has co-authored two books on investing. Mr. Cunningham holds a MA in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA from Williams College.
