Hear from four expert, senior women investment professionals discussing outlooks for the markets, the growing importance of ESG investing, and the state of pensions in the US. Each panelist will also share her individual story of career success, and outlook for a career in the evolving Financial industry. Reception will include wine and appetizers.

 

Panelists

Lori M. Heinel , CFA, Deputy Global Chief Investment Officer, State Street Global Advisors

Lori Heinel, CFA is the Deputy Global Chief Investment Officer at State Street Global Advisors. Ms. Heinel is responsible for a range of activities that impact the effective delivery of investment strategies and solutions to our global client base, including representing our market outlook and investment themes, taking a lead role in investment strategy oversight, governance and innovation and managing the implementation of enterprise-wide initiatives. Previously, she was Chief Portfolio Strategist, leading a team of professionals responsible for helping advisors, consultants and institutional clients analyze economic and market developments, assess the impact to their portfolios and identify specific products and solutions to help them manage risk and take advantage of market opportunities. Ms. Heinel received her MBA from Carnegie Mellon University and her AB in religion from Princeton University. She earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analysts Society.

 

Hallie W. Marshall, CFA,Vice President, Dodge & Cox

Hallie Marshall is currently a Vice President at Dodge & Cox, where she is a shareholder of the firm. Previously, she worked at Wells Fargo Bank as a marketing analyst, and at Dodge & Cox as a research associate. Ms. Marshall is a member of the Mill Valley School District’s community financial advisory committee and is a Board of Director and Chair of the investment committee for Kiddo!, the Mill Valley Schools Community Foundation. Ms. Marshall received her A.B. degree (cum laude) from Princeton University in 2001 and her M.B.A. (with honors) from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley in 2011. She is a CFA charterholder and a Chartered Investment Counselor.

 

Sona Menon, Outsourced Chief Investment Officer, Head of North America Pension Practice, Cambridge Associates LLC

Sona Menon is a managing director and an Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) at Cambridge Associates LLC, based in Boston. As an OCIO, Sona serves in both fully discretionary and non-discretionary capacities, overseeing plans’ investment portfolios from policy setting, to construction, to implementation and ongoing management. Overall she advises on approximately $16 billion of portfolio assets. Previously she worked in Cambridge Associates’ London office, where she served institutional investors located in the United Kingdom, continental Europe, and the Middle East. Prior to 2001, she worked at JP Morgan in the sovereign risk research department, as well as on the emerging markets sales and foreign exchange trading desks at JP Morgan. Ms. Menon has authored and contributed to several research papers on key investment topics impacting the North American pension industry, including Avoid the Agg Drag, and regularly speaks at industry conferences for organizations including Institutional Investor, SuperReturn, Pensions & Investments, and more. Ms. Menon received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Government from Cornell University.

 

Jennifer Sireklove, Director of Responsible Investing, Parametric 

Jennifer Sireklove is the Director of Responsible Investing at Parametric. Ms. Sireklove is responsible for all aspects of Parametric’s responsible investing strategies. As the primary strategist for Responsible Investing, she works closely with advisors and consultants to design, develop and implement portfolio solutions that incorporate their clients’ principles. Previously, her career was in equity research, covering the energy, utility and industrial sectors. Ms. Sireklove earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago and a BA in Economics from Reed College.

Sharon Hayman, CFA, Head of Relationship Management, Jackson Square Partners, LLC

Sharon Hayman joined Jackson Square Partners in January 2015 as head of relationship management. Prior to joining Jackson Square, she was with Matthews International Capital Management, where she was responsible for the firm’s relationship management efforts. Previously, Ms. Hayman was head of financial institutions client services at Delaware Investments. She held various roles at Delaware Investments, beginning in the internal audit department and later in the fund product management area. Earlier in her career, she was with Gartmore Global Investments, where her product management experience included working with sub-advisory and offshore funds. Ms. Hayman earned an MBA in marketing and finance from Drexel University and a BA in management from Gettysburg College. She serves on the Board of the Bay Area Financial Education Foundation, Co-Chair of CFA Society San Francisco's Women’s Initiative, and a member of the Education committee of 100 Women in Finance.
