Speaker

Philip Tetlock is the Annenberg University Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, with appointments in Wharton, psychology and political science. He is co-leader of the Good Judgment Project, a multi-year forecasting study, and co-founder of the commercial spinoff, Good Judgment Inc. He is the author of the recently reissued "Expert Political Judgment" and co-author of the best-selling business book, Superforecasting: The Art and Science of Prediction.

In Superforecasting, Mr. Tetlock offers a masterwork on prediction, drawing on decades of research and the results of a massive, government-funded forecasting tournament. The Good Judgment researchers aggregated predictions from tens of thousands of ordinary people, identifying superior "Superforecasters" whose outperformance eclipsed even the analysts in the intelligence community. Superforecasting techniques are now being used by government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and private companies across the globe.
