Impact Investing - Investing for the Social Good

In Partnership with Golden Gate University, Ageno School of Business

Are you aware how "Impact Investing", investing for the social good, affects financial markets and your portfolio?

Justina Lai is the head of impact investing at Wetherby, a boutique asset manager that is pioneering the practice of discussing the benefits, goals and obligations of the practice. Impact investing involves choosing investments that take advantage of trends around social good, like renewable resources and microfinancing. These trends have the potential to generate high returns since they are often overlooked by the broader investment community. Justina will also discuss the ESG (Environmental Social Governance) and SRI (Socially Responsible Investing) strategies, how they differ from Impact Investing, and how they can be used to make money in the financial markets.
