Equity Downside Risk Management: When and How?

With continuing declines in global economic growth, equity downside risk management is increasingly of interest to investors.  They are wondering if the long-feared equity bear market is close, and if so what risk mitigation strategies are best.  At this session, Ken Frier and Gretchen Tai will identify which information is most important to monitor, and how this information may be combined into an effective framework for determining when equity downside risk is at its highest.  They will also refer back to their popular CFA Society San Francisco presentation of last year, which offered opinions about the mainstream downside protection strategies offered by asset management firms and investment banks, with an update of those strategies have done in the volatile equity market of the past year.
