Honing Negotiation Skills with Wharton professor, Mori Taheripour (Virtual Workshop)
Negotiation underlies most successful business and social encounters. While negotiation is a way of life, most people have not had formal training and rely all too often on their instinct to navigate crucial conversations. Yet, the simple truth is that anyone can learn to bargain successfully.
Whether you are negotiating a promotion or negotiating home workspace with your partner, this virtual workshop seeks to help you gather the tools you need to be an effective negotiator.
This conversation between CFA Society San Francisco board member and Silicon Valley Bank CIO, Jane Leung, and Mori Taheripour, faculty member at the Wharton School and negotiation expert, will offer an opportunity for attendees to learn foundational principles of bargaining such as goal setting, effective preparation, problems solving, and persuasive communications.
Participants will emerge with a problem solving and value-maximizing approach to bargaining with practical tools to complement their personal negotiation styles and be empowered to become more effective and confident negotiators.
Registration fee includes a copy of Mori Taheripour’s recently published book, “Bring Yourself: How to Harness the Power of Connections to Negotiate Fearlessly,” sent directly to you. To receive the book and access the workshop, you must follow the information provided in your registration confirmation email.
