Are hidden risks lurking in index-driven passive investments? Join us as Paul Hamilos, CFA presents findings from his new paper, “Benchmark buyer beware,” which explores how benchmark construction can leave investors unwittingly exposed to factor risks, industry concentrations, and other biases. The presentation will cover the purpose of benchmarks and the process of index construction to reveal some underlying biases that should be considered when making allocation decisions and evaluating active manager performance. Learn about the potential for unwanted exposures as you consider this new dimension in the active/passive debate.
