2016 Election: Is Your Portfolio Ready?

In an election year markets always behave differently no matter who wins. The S&P 500 has had positive returns since 1928 with the market typically rallying post-election day. Certain sectors have historically outperformed during these years.  Overall, summer months have tended to be the strongest during election years with June, July, and August outperforming.

This year the two major candidates have two wildly different economic plans.  Axel will predict the impact of their administrations on the US and world economies  He will discuss global macro themes in the context of the election, touching on equities, bonds and, of course, currencies & gold, amongst others. He promises to work hard as an equal opportunity offender in the run-up to the election.
