2018 Annual Investment Dinner

Registration is officially open for the 2018 Annual Investment Dinner at the Westin St. Francis. This annual gala attracts over 600 Bay Area investment industry professionals to share in an evening of good cheer and great discussion centered on several important issues facing the world of finance. Guests will enjoy cocktails, a delicious meal, vast networking opportunities, and engaging content from prominent speakers centered in San Francisco's.


Steve Eisman, Subject of Michael Lewis’ The Big Short; Managing Director & Portfolio Manager, Neuberger Berman

Steve Eisman serves as a Managing Director at Neuberger Berman and a Portfolio Manager for the Eisman Group, within Neuberger Berman’s Private Asset Management division. With over 20 years of investment experience, he started his career at Oppenheimer & Co., where he was ranked as an All-Star Analyst by both Institutional Investor and The Wall Street Journal on multiple occasions. Later he served as Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager at FrontPoint Financial Services Fund, where he was one of the few who correctly predicted the financial crisis of 2007 as chronicled in Michael Lewis’s 2010 book The Big ShortSteve Carell portrays Mr. Eisman in the 2015 film adaptation of the book. Mr. Eisman earned his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Kristi Mitchem, Chief Executive Officer & Head of Wells Fargo Asset Management, Wells Fargo & Company

Kristi Mitchem is chief executive officer and head of Wells Fargo Asset Management. Ms. Mitchem also serves on the Operating Committee of the Wealth and Investment Management division of Wells Fargo and is a member of the Wells Fargo Management Committee. Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 2016, she served as executive vice president, head of the Americas Institutional Client Group, and member of the Executive Management Group at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA). Previously, she worked at BlackRock as a managing director and head of the U.S. Defined Contribution business and as the head of U.S. Transition Services. Ms. Mitchem was named one of the Top Women in Asset Management by Money Management Executive in 2017 and one of Treasury & Risk’s Top 100 Influential People in 2008. She earned a B.S. in political science from Davidson College, where she graduated summa cum laude and was awarded First Honors and earned an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where she was an Arjay Miller Scholar.
