Join our mentoring program


Join CFA Society San Francisco’s Mentoring Program! Mentoring offers mentors and mentees the opportunity to network and gain wisdom from a mutually beneficial professional relationship.

This volunteer-led program will match mentees with mentors based on industry, experience, interest, and location. We are thrilled to have a new head of the mentoring program, member volunteer, Sam Kirkland, CFA, CAIA, Research Director and Senior Vice President within Global Manager Research (GMR), a division of Wells Fargo Investment Institute.

CFASF Mentoring Program: July 2018 - June 2019

Become part of CFASF's community! This years Mentoring Programs features a:

 Kick-off event with initial training and mentor/mentee matching where each pair will create their own schedule and structure for meetups over the year.

Wrap-up luncheon for all participants of the 2018 Mentoring Program to recap and close out the years program.

 

Mentoring Program Application Process

Apply as either a mentor or mentee by April 30, 2018. Please note that for 2018 the program will be running a limited number of pairs. Selected applicants will be contacted by the end of May 2018 when we will announce the kick-off event.

Mentors

Be a current CFA charterholder and member of CFA Society San Francisco

Work in the investment industry

Must commit to meeting with your mentee. We suggest monthly.

 

Mentees

Be a current member of CFA Society San Francisco. Preference will be given to CFA charterholders.

Fewer than 9 years of investment industry experience

Cannot have previously participated in the mentor program

Must commit to meeting with your mentor. We suggest monthly.

 

 

*The CFASF Mentoring Program is designed to help mentees with specific goals, which can be achieved through the help of an experienced industry mentor. Please note, this program is intended to help mentees develop their professional skillset. It is not intended to be a direct recruitment tool by either mentor or mentee.
