John Jordan, CFA is Head of the US Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) Sales Specialist Team for Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s Third Party Wealth business. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Vice President with Northern Trust Asset Management/FlexShares ETFs in San Francisco. Earlier in his career, John spent many years in both asset management and wealth management roles with firms including BlackRock/iShares and Morgan Stanley. He is a CFA Charterholder and is a Past President of CFA Society San Francisco. John has an undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s College of California in Business Administration with an Honors Concentration in Financial Services. He resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and young daughter.
Head of Analytics Research and Product Development, MSCI
Peter Shepard is Head of Analytics Research and Product Development at MSCI. He leads a team of researchers responsible for MSCI’s Risk Manager and Barra platforms used by institutions in managing upward of USD 20 trillion in assets. The team researches factors, systematic strategies, portfolio construction, liquidity, machine learning, climate and macro models across equity, fixed income, private assets and digital currencies. Peter also sits on MSCI’s executive committee. Peter received a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from the University of California at Berkeley, where he researched string theory and the quantum theory of gravity. He has publications in theoretical physics and finance. Peter also holds a bachelor’s degree in physics and mathematics from Brown University.

Satish Swamy, CFA, is Senior Managing Director at UC Investments, where he serves in a leadership role. The office manages over $200 billion in pension, endowment, working capital, and defined contribution products for the University of California system. Swamy has been with UC Investments since 1998. He holds an MBA in Finance from USC, an MS in Engineering from the University of Houston, and a BS in Engineering from the University of Bangalore. He served as President of CFA Society San Francisco (2010–2011) and founded the San Francisco chapter of GARP in 1997, serving as Chapter Director until 2015. He teaches at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, where he received the 2025 Earl Cheit Award for Excellence in Teaching. He has published two chapters in the Handbook of Derivative Instruments.
