Join us for the 2026 CFA Institute Research Challenge Northern California Final Presentations, where top university teams showcase their investment research and presentation skills in front of a panel of senior industry professionals.
The CFA Institute Research Challenge is an annual global competition that gives students hands-on experience in equity analysis, valuation, and professional ethics through mentorship and intensive training. Competing teams of 3–5 undergraduate and graduate students act as research analysts, presenting their findings and stock recommendations to seasoned judges from the investment community.
During the local finals, university teams from across Northern California will present their analysis of this year’s subject company, with finalists advancing to the Western U.S. Sub-Regional Challenge.
Industry professionals, CFA Society members, faculty, mentors, and students are all invited to attend, support the competitors, and celebrate their achievements.
After the presentations, stay for a post-event social featuring appetizers and networking — a great opportunity to connect with students, colleagues, and peers from the local investment community.
