Principal and Client Portfolio Manager in the Client and Product Solutions Group, Apollo
Muhammad Gazi is Principal and Client Portfolio Manager in the Client and Product Solutions Group at Apollo. Prior to joining in 2022, He worked as a Vice President and Product Specialist at Griffin Capital for four years, and was a member of the Griffin Capital Credit Advisor Investment Committee. Previously, Mr. Gazi was a Senior Credit Strategist at PIMCO, focusing on PIMCO's Global Credit Alternative Strategies. Prior to that, he was a CIO associate on the PIMCO Total Return portfolio management team, and also worked at Prudential Financial, focused on retirement investments for high-net-worth individuals.
Mr. Gazi has a degree in commerce and finance from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, and is CFA charterholder.
Partner, Sixth Street
Mr. Brian D'Arcy is a Partner at Sixth Street based in San Francisco, and acts as CEO of the Sixth Street Broker Dealer. He sits on the firm’s Executive Committee, Core Committee, Allocations Committee, and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Mr. D’Arcy previously worked at TPG, and prior to that, was a private equity and private real estate specialist in the Alternative Capital Markets Group with Goldman Sachs.
Mr. D’Arcy received a B.A. in Economics and History (supplemental), magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Notre Dame. He is a board member for Oakland Lacrosse, a non-profit focused on Oakland public school students, and an active supporter of the Notre Dame Africana Studies Department.
Head of Investment Solutions, CAIS Advisors and Senior Portfolio Manager
Duy Nguyen serves as the Head of Investment Solutions for CAIS Advisors and Senior Portfolio Manager. With over 30 years of investment experience, he serves as a portfolio manager and is also a member of the CAIS Advisors Investment Committee.
Prior to joining CAIS, Mr. Nguyen was a founding partner and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of Bear Claw Ventures, a firm specializing in direct venture investments. Before Bear Claw, Duy was the CIO and Senior Portfolio Manager for the Invesco Investment Solutions team, which provides customized, public, and private, multi-asset investment strategies for institutional and retail clients. Duy and team managed over $90 billion in assets with over half in retail products. In this role, he was responsible for the strategy and direction of the team’s investment process, including overseeing the quality of all portfolio implementation and communicating the investment process to internal and external teams. Prior to joining the firm in 2000, he served as a senior quantitative equity analyst for Morgan Stanley, as well as vice president and director of quantitative services of FactSet Research Systems, Inc.
Mr. Nguyen earned a BBA degree from the University of Texas at Austin, an MS in applied economics from Johns Hopkins University, and an MS in finance from the University of Houston. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) charter holder and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst® (CAIA) professional.
